Description

This article will guide you how to reboot and reset Milesight LoRaWAN Gateways.


Requirement

Milesight LoRaWAN Gateway UG6x or UG8x.


 


Operation 


Reboot Milesight Gateway

  1. Via Hardware

If the gateway is powered over ETH port, you can unplug and replug the Ethernet port to reboot the gateway; if the gateway is powered with power adapter, you can unplug and replug the power adapter to reboot the gateway.


  1. Via Web Interface

Login web interfaces, go to Maintenance -> Reboot and click Reboot button to reboot the gateway.

Please wait till the login page pops up again, which means the gateway has restarted successfully.


Reset Milesight Gateway

  1. Via Hardware

Press and hold the reset button for more than 5 seconds until the STATUS/SYS LED rapidly blinks. After the STATUS/SYS LED turning to static light, the reset is completed.

2. Via Web Interface

Login web interface and go to Maintenance ->Backup and Restore, click Reset button under the Restore Factory Defaults.

You will be asked to confirm if you’d like to reset it to factory defaults. Then click Reset.

Then the gateway will reboot and restore to factory settings immediately.

Please wait till the login page pops up again, which means the gateway has already been reset to factory defaults successfully.
