Description
Milesight Routers supports access to the Internet via Wi-Fi.
This article describes how to connect Milesight Router to Wi-Fi network.
Requirement
Milesight Router which is equipped with Wi-Fi module and Wi-Fi antennas.
Configuration
1. Check whether the router supportsWi-Fi feature.
Wi-Fi feature is a hardware optional function, you can check the device label on the device or go to Status->Overview->System information ->Model of webpage to check whether the product model name contains -W. If not included, it means this model doesn't support Wi-Fi feature.
2. Check the frequency of Wi-Fi, there are distinguishing frequency in a different model.

3. Log in to router’s Web GUI via Ethernet port, Go to Network -> Interface -> WLAN for configuration.
4. Configure work mode as Client mode.
5. Click Scan to search and join the Wi-Fi network nearby.
6. Type in your SSID and BSSID if you can't search for the hotspot. Select Encryption Mode and Cipher from the list according to your hotspot configuration. Enter your password and click save to make changes take effect.
7. Go to Status -> WLAN and check the connection status. If the IP address is obtained properly, then the device has successfully joined the Wi-Fi network.
8. Go to Network -> Interface -> Link Failover, set WLAN as Main Interface to use Wi-Fi first when connecting to network.
9. Go to Maintenance -> Ping and enter a web URL. Click Ping to see if you can visit Internet.
