Description

Node-RED is a programming tool for wiring together hardware devices, APIs and online services  in new and interesting ways. It provides a brower-based editor that makes it easy to wire together flows using the wide range of nodes in the palette that can be deployed to its runtime in a single-click.This document is about How to install additional Node-RED nodes to the gateway.

Requirement

Milesight Gateway: UG65/UG67 (Firmware version: 60.0.0.36-r12 and later), UG56

Configuration

1. Ensure the gateway has accessed the Internet referring to How to Connect Milesight Gateway to the Internet.

2. Go to APP > Node-RED > Enable > Launch, turn to the Node-RED webpage.

3.Open the Manage palette to manage the node.

4. Search the node you need in the Install tab and install the node. Please note that the gateway should access the Internet during installation.

Nodes: Lists all of the modules you have installed.

Install: Search the catelogue of available node modules and install them.

Note: if there is no Internet, please download module tgz file and import to gateway Node-RED locally.

5. After the installation is complete, you can use them in the node directory.

 NOTE: You can search for available nodes in the Node-RED library.http://flows.nodered.org/
