What is Link Failover?


Link Failover or Failback refers to continued internet connectivity with redundant networks upon the failure or abnormal termination of the previously active network. The near-continuous availability and a high degree of reliability of network connection is of the utmost importance for a better commercial output.


How Does It Work?


Ursalink Industrial Cellular Router is designed to achieve internet connection redundancy. If the primary link goes down, the traffic will be routed to the backup connection. For example, a router has configured Ethernet as the main connection while Cellular as a backup. When the WAN/LAN interface fails, the basic link failover functionality can be activated with this Failover to Cellular feature to ensure network availability. And the data will be transmitted through Ethernet again when the WAN/LAN connection is back to work and functions properly.
