Q1: Does EM500-SMTC measures the volumetric water content or the relative humidity?

Answer: EM500-SMTC measures relative humidity.

Q2: Which font have you used on AM104/AM107 display? What's the size and pixel?

Answer: The font is not a public one. It's designed by us. The size is 2.13" , and pixel is 250*122.

Q3: Why doesn't the Milesight sensor report battery status in the payload?

Answer: Milesight sensor reports battery status in the first payload after it's activated. After that, it reports battery status every 6-24 hours. Below is the reporting interval for different series for your reference.

Q5: Can I get unique application key for Milesight sensors?

Answer: Yes. Milesight sensors/nodes have the same application key by default. You can change it manually by Toolbox. For bulk orders, it's also feasible to preset random application keys for each device at our factory before shipping.

Q6: Why AM107 sensor sometimes only reports TVOC and CO2 information?

Answer:

1. If the sensor always only reports TVOC and CO2 information, you can double check whether all sensors are enabled.

2. If the sensor reports all data regularly, but sometimes only reports TVOC and CO2 data, you can double check the threshold settings on "Device Settings". If you set the threshold, the sensor will report the data when TVOC/CO2 meets the threshold. Meanwhile, the sensor will also reports all data based on reporting interval.

Q7:How could we be sure that the electrical conductivity values of EM500-SMTC are correct?

Answer: As shown in the picture below, you can put the probe into Conductance Standard Solution, which has a standard value for you. Then you can compare it with the value you get on EM500-SMTC.

Q8: I have Milesight sensor AM107. It connects to TTI and sends a packet, then stops. The icon on the screen shows "connected".

Answer: You can change LoRaWAN version to v1.0.2/v1.0.3 on AM107 according to your TTI settings. Besides, Milesight sensor has channel index as 0-71 by default. If the LoRaWAN gateway uses certain channels such as 8-15, it's suggested to configure it to the same in AM107.

Q9: Can we configure the Milesight sensor to send its GPS position?

Answer: No, Milesight sensor is not equipped with GPS chip. In addition, we don’t have GPS related LoRa sensor currently.

Q10: Is it possible to set password to protect the internal config of sensors? A rogue person just needs your Tool App and all the Sensors is changeable.

Answer: Yes, Milesight sensors support password verification when someone wants to change the config,  power on/off, reset or upgrade the sensors with ToolBox App. The default password is "123456". You can go to "Setting- > General Settings" on Toolbox App to change the password.

Q11: I have difficulty in NFC configuration on EM300 sensor via Android smartphone.

Answer:

1. Make sure NFC of the smartphone is closed to that of EM300 Sensor correctly.

2. For some models of smart phone, NFC connection may be interfered by battery. Therefore, you can put the battery in the other jar and try again.

For further trouble shooting please refer to article Fail to Read Milesight LoRaWAN Sensor by NFC

Q12: Do you have payload decoder of Milesight sensor?

Answer: You can find payload decoder of Milesight sensors from this link.

Q13: CO2 level is a sensitive data that building managers want to measure, but they don't want the occupants to see the measured values. Is it possible to send a downlink to control the display mode and lock the screen in case occupants press to switch display mode or turn off the display?

Answer: Currently the AM107 doesn't support downlinks to control the display mode and lock e-ink screen. It will be supported in next firmware version.

Q14: What is the detection range of the PIR of AM107?

Answer: PIR detection area is  94° Horizontal, 82° Vertical, while detection distance is 5m.

Q15: What is the threadtype and size of the M500-PP's probe?

Answer: The thread type of the EM500-PP's probe is G1/4 female by default, please contact Milesight sales for more kinds of screw thread types and sizes.

Q16: What kinds of substance can the EM500-PP detect?

Answer: Water, oil, and gas.
