Ursalink Industrial Router supports different network interfaces, including the Ethernet, Dual Cellular and WIFI, which is used to make the router online by different ways, it supports to detect whether it's online, if it lost the internet, Router will switch it to next available interface automatically.
Ursalink UR32/UR35 since 3X.2.0.6 and UR75(76.1.0.15) has built the new web interface for easier and clear understanding about the link status and failover rule.
This is the default Link Priority table, when you insert the SIM card and configure the WAN port for example, you will see it shows like this:
You can see the Link that's being use at this time through the "Status" page as well.
The router supports to detect whether it has access by ping the ICMP server. You can also change the host IP and the interval according to the real usage.
Sometimes customer needs to adjust the priority or change the current link access to another one, then we can change it here. In this example, we set the WAN access on the top. The link will switch to be online and being used.
The status page will sync and shows the same.
Finally, if the first interface lost the internet access, and switch it to next available interface, and it works fine now. the router will continue to check the previous interface every 300 seconds, when it's back online, it will take the link back switch to "Link in Use" mode. You can change the interval as well.
You can also enable the "Emergency Reboot" to make the router reboot when all interfaces lost the internet access in emergency situation.
Note: Work mode of dual SIM cards is cold-standby, so if the link was swiched from SIM1 to SIM2, it will not revert to SIM1 again until the link is switched to WAN or no other links are available.
